VENUS EYE of the SOUL

Venus, the Eye of the Soul, is a contemporary and symbolic work. At the center of the sculpture there is an eye, perhaps an eye that looks into the soul of things in its innermost depths, or perhaps it looks towards the outside world. Ancient eyes open to the present and contemporary eyes, cameras, modern eyes watch us and follow us everywhere. “Contemporary eyes”, like cameras, remind us that we are constantly under observation. But at the same time, they invite us to reflect on our relationship with privacy and surveillance in modern society.

Shells and corals, ornaments of a kingdom, rest gently upon this bark, a diadem of life, a witness to a love that the Race of the World wanted to embrace.
